Army Corps of Engineers needed to mitigate wetland loss from the construction of the control structures and the southern embankment that is incorporated into the Fargo/Moorhead flood diversion project. The Army Corps of Engineers designed and built a 330 acre grassland and wetland restoration. Field to Flyway Engineering was part of a team including Red Bison Services and Resource Environmental Solutions that was contracted by the Army Corps of Engineers to establish, monitor, and manage the vegetation of the site. Field to Flyway Engineering was responsible to developing, inspecting, and managing the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan as well as hydrologic monitoring equipment and data collection. This date is being used to document the progression of the site and verify that wetland areas are performing as designed. We were also tasked with providing quality control supervision as required by the Army Corps of Engineers. This meant for overseeing the seeding, vegetation maintenance and monitoring as well as being onsite with 3rd party inspectors with the Army Corps of Engineers.
